SANDRA DE MATOS
Sandra de Matos (Seine Saint-Denis, 1986) is a graphic artist based in Glasgow. She studied at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 2012 with an MA in Visual Communication. Her drawings take inspiration from horror films and television - in particular make-over shows. The strangeness of the everyday and the idea of transformation informs her work. She primarily uses oil-bar, watercolour gouache and cut outs when realising her visions.
Sandra has been collaborating with Laura Scott since 2011 on a correspondence project where drawings are exchanged and modified via fax machines.
She co-programs the Cineclube Aparição.
