RAMON KEIMIG

Ramon Keimig’s practice occupies a space where analog intimacy meets digital experimentation, weaving a tapestry of automatic drawing, subculture, and non-verbal poetic intervention. He studied fine art at Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach and is currently finishing his master degree at IAGN Basel. He navigates between individual expression and collective resonance. His work in part embraces collaborative processes with experimental and subcultural musicians to realize multidisciplinary projects that ripple with the energy of underground cultural currents.

At the core of his artistic output lies an obsessive engagement with drawing and printmaking, mediums that he approaches as alchemical tools for uncovering latent patterns. His images are a visceral dialogue between figuration and abstraction, characterized by intricate biomorphic forms that evoke organic growth yet suggest an eerie technological undercurrent. The works aims to possess an almost hypnotic quality, luring the viewer into speculative ecosystems where reality and fiction meld—a kaleidoscope of interwoven naturalistic details, autofictional narratives and science fiction archetypes.

His drawing practice echoes the loops and rhythms of musical composition. The analog scratches of a pen on paper meet the seamless flux of digital manipulation, creating layered atmospheres reminiscent of improvised soundscapes.

Ramon Keimig’s artistic approach is not only about creating objects but about shaping spaces for interaction. Whether through collaborative publications or mail art, posters for diy concerts, record covers, workshops or interdisciplinary experiments, he creates a pathway where the work becomes a shared rhythm—part archive, part dream.
