Mauro Ventura’s work is based on re-contextualising ideas, classicism, reconstructing and deconstructing mythology, rituals and the essence of the action of our nature. In the artists words, “Abstraction is just a process and in this process is where we understand and proclaim possibilities. This is the important part, to consider and include possibilities, but abstraction isn’t a goal, it’s just a means, a method. Fantasy is the key, transformation the answer, liberating genders, sexuality, queer is just the obviousness from our togetherness. I work on the abolishment of realism, because everything is anti natura from the moment you are born, you are born to die. Meanwhile let’s have some poetry. Let’s have some fun because we have to have the freedom to dance.”
