BETH SHAPEERO
Beth Shapeero co-founded Backlit Gallery in 2008 in Nottingham before moving to Glasgow for her M.Litt at Glasgow School of Art. Her projects often combines drawing, painting and sculpture with social practice and seeks innovative ways to widen audiences and improve accessibility. Recent projects include LOOP (2018) which took part across Glasgow's network of subway stations and Block (2017), a commission awarded from Tramway (Glasgow) to create screen-prints exhibited locally with the community. Bedroom (2017) a residency at House for an Art Lover, Clam Jam at The Royal Standard, Liverpool (2016), INBOX, Art Athina, Athens (2015), Strange Business SYSON, Nottingham (2015), UKYA, Two Queens, Leicester (2015), Le Swimming at Glasgow International (2014), Forecasting Fabriksgatan 48, Gothenberg (2014), Workings and The Clinic both for Glasgow International (2016).
